The Kiwanis Club of Conway, South
Carolina Welcomes You!
The Club was chartered on July 23, 1945 with 51 members. The club entered the new century
having grown to nearly 150 members. President Betty Moore (2009 - 2010) addressed the club with her goals for the upcoming year: 10% increase
in membership growth while focusing on retention; initiating the BUG program and enhancing the Terrific Kids (TK) program;
strengthening human and spiritual aims ; enhancing the club experience and community service hours per member; utilize other
venues for publicity and marketing; form an Aktion Club; and develop strategic plans. With these goals in mind and
the strength of the membership, Kiwanis is an integral part of the City of Conway and the surrounding area. The annual Christmas
Party for children with special needs includes many of the schools in the county. The club's sponsored youth organizations
are now in nine schools and additional school groups are planned for the near future.
